시각적 관찰 이 벽지는 한옥의 아랫벽을 두르던 굽도리지(下部帶壁紙)로, 1940년대 말에서 1950년대 사이에 쓰인 것으로 추정된다. 도안의 골격은 분명하다 — 검은색 잉크로 찍힌 마름모 격자, 그 안을 채우는 색색의 작은 꽃이라는 2도(度) 인쇄 구조다. 본 사례에서는 격자 안의 꽃이 짙은 적갈색이지만, 이 도안 계열의 굽도리지는 꽃을 초록·파랑·빨강 등 다양한 색으로 바꾸어 인쇄해온 사방연속(四方連續) 패턴이다. 격자는 일정하고, 그 안에 앉히는 꽃의 색만이 변주된다....
